The rooms at Au Lac Hostel in Dong Hoi were truly a breath of fresh air. With air-conditioning and free WiFi, we felt right at home. The private bathroom was a welcome luxury, equipped with everything we needed, including complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer. We also loved that some rooms had a balcony, which offered a lovely view and a perfect spot to relax.

While the accommodations were fantastic, there was one small downside. In some rooms, the tile/marble floor was a bit slippery, which made us a little cautious.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, with incredibly comfortable beds and pillows. The WiFi connection was excellent, which was a big plus for me. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, allowing me to check in early and even organizing taxis for me without any hassle. They were also fluent in English, which made communication so much easier. The hotel is conveniently located near a variety of restaurants, including one owned by the staff themselves called Red Pepper, where the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place and couldn't fault it in any way.

Misleading room description - different from the pictures, bunk bed instead of a king bed. Shared balcony with smokers - unpleasant smell and lack of privacy.

Great location by the river and close to the waterfront street with lots of dining options. The room was clean and cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and provided useful local information. The lobby had a billiard table for some added fun. I would highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

The establishment was incredibly clean and well-organized, with a pristine bathroom and separate shower. They even provided toothbrushes! The rooms were spotless and the whole building was brand new. The location was perfect, close to the beach and very peaceful. The real highlight, however, was the amazing host family. They were unbelievably helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to assist me. They even helped me with a stolen phone incident, going to the police and translating for hours. They made my stay so comfortable and easy, helping with tours, bike rentals, and finding great places to eat. And their fluent English made communication a breeze. I can't recommend this place enough if you're visiting !

We had a fantastic experience at Au Lac. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the host. They allowed us to check in early when I was sick with food poisoning, which we really appreciated. the location is excellent, right by the river and close to both the harbour and a street with a variety of dining options. the rooms were new, clean, and spacious, and the wifi worked well. it was a great value for money. I got great value for my money at Au Lac. The room was clean, tidy, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, away from the main street and peaceful. The staff at Au Lac were incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting me with anything I needed and even helping me book tours.

I got excellent value for my money at this new and cozy place. The room was clean and had all the amenities I needed, including a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. The location was great, close to the peaceful beach, and the staff went above and beyond to help me with anything I needed.
